Susannah Loose Slonecker

Susannah Loose was the daughter of Revolutionary War Private George Loose and his wife Elizabeth Snider. She was born c. 1804 and died May 16, 1877, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thurman, one mile north of Seward. She married Daniel Slonecker in 1827; he died March 27, 1844. They were the parents of nine children. She was the grandmother of three charter members of the Margaret Holmes Chapter, who on June 14, 1908 unveiled the first Real Daughter marker in Nebraska on her grave. She is buried in the Seward Cemetery, Seward County, Nebraska, in the original survey, lot 202, space 11.
